The Hatch Allows You to Comfort Your Dog Safely During Travel
Share
It’s not too often we cover Kickstarter products, but this is one that has to be seen to believed and we think it’s going to make a very valuable addition to the pet industry. Small dog parents, take heed! This is a carrier that just may change the way you travel with your pet!
We’ve all had that dog or cat who is incredibly stressed out while at the veterinarian or traveling. You want to reach your hand in there to comfort them, but you know the second that zipper opens, your pets will wriggle out. Trying to get the cat or dog BACK into the carrier rarely happens successfully.
The Hatch will change all of that… they’re ready to go into production – but they need a few more dollars to reach their goal of $35,000. Not only will your support make an amazing gift for the holidays, you can actually influence the pet industry by showing the pros what you want.
You know you’re going to buy this when it’s made available, so here’s your chance to save some money and be one of the first to get your hands on this carrier.

This exciting new design was created by a fellow animal lover and advocate. This means you can place a reassuring hand on your pet, hand in some treats for good behavior, even remove items from the interior. It’s all done through an elastic entry portal that allows your hand in without letting your pet out.

This not only helps avoid scuffs and tears, it provides rain and wind protection – and we think it will provide some of the best protection ever seen against claws!
The mesh windows provide plenty of ventilation and two-way viewing, so your pet is never “flying blind” on a trip! The interior bed is easily removable and machine washable. You can carry it over your shoulder or by hand, and it’s flight-approved for easy travel.

There’s an entire team of animal lovers behind this fun new invention. You’ll probably recognize Jed Crystal, the founder of the Hepper Cat line of products and the mind who is responsible for the final design and functionality of the Hatch.
But the real credit goes to Jon Mirsky, the Inventor and co-founder of the Hatch carrier. This Georgetown Law-trained animal advocate was inspired by the experiences of his beloved golden tabby cat, Junior, who began struggling with travel as he grew older. Like many other pet parents, Jon would open the zippers on his carrier to comfort his best feline friend, but that often resulted in essentially “letting the cat out of the bag”.
To bring the Hatch carrier to the market, Mirsky asked product launch professional Anjali Kalyani, who holds a PhD in Neuroscience and an MBA from The Wharton School, to help him get this project off the ground.
