Mountain Cat Trees Inspire Felines

Share

We look at a lot of things when we are scoping out new products for our pets. Our fussy felines are particularly picky because they get so many choices.

So when we saw the beautiful line of products from Mountain Cat Trees, we were thrilled to check them out. Each tree is handcrafted, eco-friendly and made in the USA. The trees used in the creation of these posts are locally harvested pine, poplar and birch (from such situations as storm damage or as a result of forest management in the North Quabbin Region).  The finished product is complete with a nontoxic and environmentally safe clear coat finish: all things that are very important to us.

We started with the 35” vertical scratching post  which has a 20” x  4” base and weighs just over 18 lbs. This creates a very secure set up that both of our cats are fond of using as their primary scratch post and it can even handle a giant dog jumping on it without tipping over.  This post  is specifically designed for larger cats – our Maine Coon feels right at home – and is great for interactive play!

There is just something about the smell of pine and sisal that attracts our cats to the stand. It’s amazingly sturdy, the top ledge is just wide enough for a cat to perch on and since it’s made with real trees, they are highly motivated to climb it. No carpet means we don’t have to worry about trapped hair and allergies.

Each design is unique and interesting –another amazing benefit of purchasing handmade products. There are several surfaces available for you to choose from depending on how your cat likes to climb and which products you’re choosing from.

Mountain Cat Trees Replacement Scratcher

If you’re looking for a great-looking scratching post that can hold up to the most active cats, this is the model you should choose. The natural sisal rope gives it a great look, they all have a no-tip design and each comes with rubber bumper feet (to avoid slipping on hard floors).

Mountain Cat Climbers has certainly earned the PetsWeekly Seal of Approval! See for yourself why we love these trees and order one today.
