Rescuing Life Out There with #TractorSupply
As you know, we live in a rural area that is slightly off the beaten track. That’s one reason we really like Tractor Supply Company®, because they know it’s not just farmers and ranchers living out here. They know that those of us with pets rely on them as well, and they cater to others like us who just have dogs and cats (and sometimes chickens, or a rabbit or even a goat) as pets.
We just made another trip out to Tractor Supply because we wanted to pick up some wild bird feed (and they have some of the best!). But, also because we were asked to come see what they were doing and help spread the word.
If you haven’t been to TSC for awhile, you owe it to yourself to visit. They now have just about anything you can want for the health and care of your pets. From horse and chicken feed to premium pet food and dog houses. They even carry supplements! They really want to be your one-stop shop for pet and livestock care, and they do a tremendous job of making sure they carry what you need in your area.
So I want to share a few things you may not know about Tractor Supply Company- especially as it pertains to animal rescue work…[note style=”5″ icon=”yes”]This post is sponsored by Tractor Supply Company and the BlogPaws® Professional Pet Blogger network. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Tractor Supply Company but PetsWeekly only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Tractor Supply is a huge supporter of animal rescue – and each year, they host social media contests that awards a total of $25,000 in grants to 10 organizations who really need it. They really support local rescues and if you are a 501C3, I support you in speaking with TSC to learn how they can help you. If you’re interested in the grants (and you should be), you can learn more about applying here.
They were also great to provide an informative video about their work with animal rescues![youtube url=”http://youtu.be/1uXNpnIQUD0″] [heading style=”2″ color=”#996633″ style_color=”#996633″]Low-Cost Vaccination Clinics and Titer Testing[/heading]
While we were there, we learned some interesting information. TSC also host some very affordable vaccination clinics for dogs and cats, as well as hosting adoption events and fundraisers. Not only that, but they offer affordable, walk-in titer testing at each clinic. You can check for your nearest location here.[heading style=”2″ color=”#996633″ style_color=”#996633″]The New 4Health Brand of Pet Food[/heading]
We also learned a bit about their 4Health brand of premium pet food that is made exclusively for Tractor Supply Company. It’s manufactured in the USA with high-quality and grain-free formulas available for more sensitive animals. With fresh meat in every formula and less filler than some other brands, 4health™ brand pet food allows you to feed them more with less, while providing your pets with a rich balance of vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, antioxidants, and protein.[heading style=”2″ color=”#996633″ style_color=”#996633″]DogForDog Supports Animal Rescue[/heading]
And we were also able to include the newest line of custom treats from the DogForDog line! This unique line includes DogsButter, which is a nutritious (yet super palatable) treat for your pets that are great Kong fillers. For every purchase made of this line, Dog For Dog will donate to a shelter!
If you haven’t been to Tractor Supply lately, you owe it to yourself and your pets, to head on over. We’re pretty confident you’ll find a few of your neighbors there as well, but if you don’t, you should let your neighbors know these stores are around. Once you walk in, you’ll see they aren’t overwhelming and that you can find everything you need to care for your pets and your livestock. It’s the one-stop shop for animal lovers!
We were put on a quest to make up a $50 gift basket for a local animal rescue and we’re so glad we did! We were able to provide large dog bowls filled with a brush, comb, food, treats, toys – and even had enough left over several needed PVC pipes and supplies to design a mist system for a local rescue called Reservation Rescue.
We hope you’ll check out Tractor Supply Company. They’re for people who live out there…
