Soos Pet Sources Dead Sea Waters for Spa Products

ocean dog

Spring is on the way and that means many of us finally have the opportunity to give our dogs a bath! Now, if you’re like me, your dogs are pretty big and awkward for the tub. So you stand out in the backyard and wash away. With temps in the 90’s throughout February (yes, I know we’re not the norm), it was very refreshing to get everyone bathed this week.

We recently had the opportunity to try out an amazing new line of grooming products from Soos Skincare. The interesting thing about these products is that they’re all formulated with water from the Dead Sea.

Why the interest in the Dead Sea? Well, despite it’s name, the Dead Sea offers some of the most therapeutic waters in the world. Known for its healing abilities, people have traveled to its shores for centuries to soak in the salty, mineral-rich waters.

Water from the Dead Sea is unique in that it contains nearly 30% of magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride, and bromides. Normal sea water contains less than 3% of these powerful minerals.  Also, while sodium accounts for approximately 80% of the salt content of normal sea water, it comprises much less of the salt total in water from the Dead Sea.

Soos™ Dead Sea Spa Products For Pets has put the Dead Sea waters to good use in this line of pet products. In fact, it’s the only line of pet products in North America that is enriched with Dead Sea minerals and made with 97% natural ingredients (like essential oils, vitamins and over 71 different plant extracts).

These spa products are designed to pamper your pets, while treating their skincare needs. Their products are cruelty-free, SLS-free and paraben-free.

All of Soos’ Dead Sea Spa Products are produced in Israel and have been tested and approved by the Israel Veterinary Medical Association (this is an association that upholds the same standards as the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association).

[blockquote font=”1″ cite=”Soos Pets” align=”right” pull=”yes” italic=”yes”]The Dead Sea is home to 26 essential minerals, 12 of which do not exist in any other ocean in the world.[/blockquote]

We tried out the following products and loved the clean, natural scents (that didn’t overpower the nose!). Here is a brief look at which ones we tried, how we used them, and our results:

Soos™ Natural Waterless Pet Bath Mousse is a great way to freshen up your pets who hate baths. We tried it out on our our cat who is FIV+ and often has problems keeping himself clean. We bathe him a few times a year, but it’s very stressful for him (and us) and results in “stress symptoms” for him. This was a very simple way to keep his fur soft and smelling great with a minimal amount of effort. The mousse combines all of the exclusive benefits of Dead Sea minerals with botanicals and essential oils like chamomile, sweet marjoram, and Vitamin C to gently clean, calm, cleanse and disinfect your pet’s skin and coat.

To apply, simply massage into dry fur, then brush and comb until fur has again dried. It’s a relaxing way to help your cats (and other small animals) stay clean and fresh! Perfect for pets who don’t want to take a bath…

[heading style=”1″ color=”#996633″ style_color=”#996633″]Natural Dead Sea Anti-Itch Pet Shampoo For Dogs & Cats[/heading]

Itching is always a big deal in our Arizonian home – and all of our animals (especially our two pitbull mixes) tend towards very dry skin. Add to that an average humidity level of zero and you know that we’re going to have problems. We loved the light scent of this shampoo and it easily rinses out – which is so important.

Soos™ Natural Anti-Itch Shampoo combines all of the exclusive benefits of Dead Sea minerals with the natural antioxidant, antiseptic and antibacterial properties of coconut oil, green tea, rosemary, chamomile, tea tree oil (yes, it’s perfectly safe to use if used properly), and vitamin E to moisturize our dogs coats.  It does a great job of moisturizing skin, cleaning the fur without stripping natural oils, and stopping the itch.

[heading style=”1″ color=”#996633″ style_color=”#996633″]Natural Dead Sea Mineral Rich Mud Pet Shampoo For Dogs & Cat[/heading]

The Mineral-Rich Mud Pet Shampoo is another great version of shampoo that we think you’ll love. Fortified with Dead Sea minerals nettle, oats, honey, pumpkin seed extract, Vitamin & E, olive oil, Astragalus, tea tree oil, coconut oil and the extracts of 117 plants, herbs and roots – this mineral rich mud shampoo helps improve overall immunity and can be used to help eliminate animal acne (after you’ve replaced their food and water bowls with something that isn’t plastic!)

[heading style=”1″ color=”#996633″ style_color=”#996633″]Soos Deep Hydration Leave-In Dead Sea Pet Conditioner[/heading]

This is a remarkable “leave-in” conditioner for pets. We, however, did not leave it in because we’re not that brave. Despite not leaving it in, we saw some great results in our short-coated dogs who are prone to incredibly dry skin. Next time, we’re going to try leaving it in and see how they do. The Leave-In Conditioner is fortified with Dead Sea minerals, grape seed oil, beeswax, arrowroot, and vitamin B5 – all of which helps soften and brighten the coat, gives it a long-lasting shine, helps prevent dirt and water from penetrating the skin (or sticking to your pet’s fur).

This company has a host of great products available for nearly any type of animal or skin condition. Visit their website to learn more. We hope you’ll give them a try!
