Clear Conscience Clear Label Treats

Share

There are many companies who manufacture dog treats in the pet food industry, but only a few that we trust to provide consistently pure, Made and Sourced in the USA, wholesome treats for our pets. Clear Conscience Pet is one of them.

Owned by Amanda and Anthony Bennie, you will see how seriously they take their work. They are so committed to healthy pet treats that they have even redesigned the labels of their products to reflect their commitment to pure ingredients, clear language and fun formulations that your pets will love to eat.

The Clean Label line of treats feature three flavors: Pumpkin Patch, Peace Berry and Ginger Yaps.

Here’s a quick look at the benefits of their base ingredients…

Clear Conscience Pets uses buckwheat, star anise, and canola oil in their original base of Clear Label’s three recipes.

Buckwheat

Buckwheat is a fruit seed, not a grain, but it is a great substitute for pets (or people) who are a little more sensitive to grains (our dogs are among those).

Here are some interesting facts about Buckwheat:

  • Buckwheat is high in magnesium and fiber, which helps “relax” blood vessels. This improves blood flow and nutrient delivery.
  • Doctors have learned that people who eat a lot of buckwheat have lower risk of developing high blood pressure or high cholesterol. It also increases HDL (the good cholesterol) in people.
  • Buckwheat is a low-glycemic food, which means it won’t spike your pet’s blood sugar.

Anise

The ingredients in the base of these biscuits includes anise. What’s anise, you ask? Well, anise is an herb that is very beneficial to your pet’s digestive system. On top of that, anise has actually been shown to help cataract sufferers.

Anise can also affect your dog like catnip affects cats. Foxhounds were once trained to follow trails by dragging a sack that had been doused in anise!

Pumpkin Patch features… pumpkin!

I could go on and on about pumpkin, but I already have in this article.

In case you don’t want to read about it, here’s the summary: Pumpkins are full of Vitamins A, C, Iron and Fiber and contain lots of Beta Carotene and other essential antioxidants.

The fiber is wonderful for helping to maintain the digestive health of your dog. It also happens to be my pets very favorite thing to eat.

Ingredients: Organic buckwheat our, pumpkin, canola oil, kelp, molasses, sage, anise seed

Peace Berry Features Blueberries and Lavender.

This is a great “calming” treat. Lavender is something we use quite frequently as an essential oil that we diffuse on occasion to keep pets calm (it’s especially effective during thunderstorms!).

Ingredients: Organic buckwheat our, blueberries, canola oil, kelp, molasses, lavender, anise seed

Blueberry

Blueberries are another great “super food”. The berries are packed with antioxidants which help maintain a strong immune system. They have been connected to a reduction in heart disease and are thought to decrease stroke damage in pets.

Most importantly, they help the brain. Studies have shown that older dogs who consume blueberries and other antioxidants over several years are more able to perform and learn tasks than senior dogs who were fed an average diet.  Let’s face it – a smart dog is a happy dog!

Lavender

This is a great addition to any dog food as it is a naturally calming herb that is safe for pets. It’s one of the few essential oils that we would ever use with our cats (properly diluted, of course) and when used in shampoos for pets, it can have a very calming effect on pets as it soothes your pets skin as well as their nerves.

Ginger Yaps feature Ginger!

Ginger is a great ingredient for calming upset tummies. We use the essential oil for stomach upset in ourselves and it’s a great addition to biscuits or food for pets.

Ingredients: Organic buckwheat our, canola oil, kelp, molasses, parsley, ginger, anise seed

Try them for yourself! We’re giving THREE lucky dogs a chance to win their choice of two packages of treats! Choose from Ginger Yaps, Peace Berry, or Pumpkin Patch Clear Label treats and see how much your pets enjoy the taste of pure ingredients.
