The Dancing Kitten: Cat Poems for Kids
Once there was a kitten,
She lived at home with me.
Her fur was black and white,
She was a tiny little thing.
One day, I came home early,
From school, I had run
When I saw my little kitten,
Having lots of fun!
She stood upon her hind legs,
She twirled so fast around –
That I was scared that she might fall
Hard upon the ground!
I watched her hop,
I watched her jump,
I watched her twirl and spin!
And when I thought it over,
She started up again!
And so I have a dancing cat
A strange thing some believe
But, the thing about a dancing cat
Is that she’ll dance with me!
