We love their 15-ft leads, their nylon collars, and braided rope leashes.There are plenty of other beautiful leashes as well, including show leads and leather leads. Best of all is a “Big Dog Walker” that helps you handle your larger dogs on walks with extra chest support.

The newest colors are something special and we love being able to include the purple and turquoise blue in our lineup.

In our case, we prefer their rope because it’s so very soft (making it much better for our hands) and they feature a brass trigger snap for attaching to the collar. The rope itself is made from a durable, multi-filament polypropylene and each measures 1/2″x4′. They do, of course, have dozens of colors and a variety of styles for all types of dogs.

In Case of Emergency

We hate to be Debbie Downer here, but if you read our article, Handling a Dog Attack on Walk, you know that accidents happen while on walks.

Recently, we saw a small dachshund killed by a larger off-leash dog. The dachshund and his brother were on-leash, enjoying their daily walk, in what they thought was a secure neighborhood (and has been up until now).

Accidents happen – leashes break, dogs get loose, and stray animals come in from the wild. So this year, we want our readers to be prepared no matter what size dog you have.

Preparation is the best way to avoid catastrophe. These items make great stocking stuffers and you might just save a life. These are great gifts and they may help save a life.

Walking Stick: We love it’s lightweight design (and it even features a hand-carved wolf design), along with waterproof finish and rope-wrapped handle for a comfortable secure grip.

Pet Corrector: $10 This is nothing more than canned air in a convenient size. It makes a noise, but is completely harmless against other animals. Use with caution as this has potential to upset your own dog as well as other dogs – particularly in a stressful situation. It’s very effective at scaring off other animals or wildlife.
