Share

The Feline First Aid Kit is a product that no cat caretaker should ever be without!  This unique first aid kit is a wonderful addition to your car and home, and at only $24.95 each kit, you can afford one for one both locations.

With the recent tragedies that have befallen our nation such as Hurricane Katrina and the recent fires in the Southwest, we at PetsWeekly cannot emphasize enough the importance of keeping first aid kits available for both you and your pets.  And VSI Pet Products understands the different needs of each species.

This wonderful little kit will easily fit into any corner of your home, or even the glove compartment of most vehicles.  It’s total size is only 5″ x 5″ x 3″.  Pretty amazing that you can fit everything you need to care for any cat emergency in such a small space.  Each Feline Care Kit contains the following items:

In addition, and perhaps most importantly, each kit also contains a Feline Care Card and Feline CPR Instruction Card.  These handy little cards tell you the best process to follow if (or when) your feline friend is injured or ill.  While you are performing emergency treatment on your pet, your friend or family member will be able to contact the veterinarian and make arrangements to scoot them on over there.  This kit will enable you to recognize the signs of shock, choking, puncture wounds, poisoning, cuts and scrapes, rashes or skin irritations, fractured bones, and even insect bites.  Would you know what to do if your feline friend suddenly was stung by a bee?  What if he was chasing a bug and suddenly began choking on it?  Sound out of the ordinary and impossible?  I can assure you it’s not.

What happens if your cat suddenly requires CPR in a life or death situation?  Of course, we highly recommend completing a course in emergency treatment for all pets, and CPR requires a great deal of training.  But, if you haven’t had time to take the class or learn to care for your pet in an emergency situation, this kit provides a great option for a quick fix until you can get your pet to the emergency room, particularly if you are not within a few minutes of your veterinarian’s or urgent care office.

We believe that our pets are our children, and if you have cats and dogs, we’re pretty sure you feel the same way!  You keep an emergency kit around for yourself, so don’t leave out your favorite feline friends!

Kits are also highly versatile coming in a hard case for cats and other pets.  A belt pack or saddlebag form of the kit is available for horses and sports dogs.

Another benefit of this company is the fact that it is run by a nonprofit corporation.  One of the owners, Randy Hylton, immediately recognized the value of preparing owners for unexpected emergencies.  He also saw an opportunity to make a difference in the world by offering work to the disabled.  This company donates to the disabled, but more importantly they offer employment to them, giving them the opportunity to learn new skills while working on an important project for animals around the world.

These items were designed by those who understand the dangers our pets face, even when they are indoor all the time!  They have created a product that is a valuable addition to every pet owners care kit, and they use high-quality goods to help you get your pet friends through just about any immediate disaster.

From the Cats:

Hisses & Spits: While we don’t like being injured, and we really hate it when mom tries to do a first aid repair, we like that imminent danger can be averted and we don’t have to use up any of our nine lives!

Purrs: Purring contentedly… Every household should have a pet first aid kit!

From the Humans:

Two apposable thumbs up! We love these products and heartily recommend that every household with pets have at least one of these kits available in case of emergency!

Drawback? Be sure to take a first aid course for your pet to supplement the information and products available in these wonderful kits!
