A Month with the Febreze Air Purifer #KeepItFresh

Share

We’ve been using our new Febreze™ Air Purifier for about a month now and it’s time to let you know what we think.

Let me sum it up in a word: Impressive.

I say this for a few reasons. First, it’s remarkably great at clearing the air in any room. We primarily use it in the kitchen (especially on the days that I cook). My husband and I are great fans of things like cabbage and brussel sprouts, but as you know, they leave your house reeking of terrible things for days. Before we start making any meal, we set this bad boy loose and that rank Brussels sprout odor is replaced with clean, unscented air.

The thing I love most (besides the fact that it works) is that you have the option of using the scent pack. We usually choose to use it on it’s low setting, but when we want the house to feel fresh for company, we turn it up. Sometimes we just use it completely odorless and love the way keeps the house smelling (and feeling) fresh.

One of my favorite places to use it is in my office, where I spend ninety percent of my time. (Do you recognize the books and awards? I had to crop out my white board because of all the confidential information it contains about upcoming plot twists and future articles in the works after my website redesign – which I’m incredibly excited about!)

We’re not really big on “strong smelling” air. We feel it creates behavioral problems with the animals, who are a million times more sensitive than we are to odors. We also want the air to feel fresh and not “artificial”. That said, we really loved the Febreze scent refills (ours came with a Linen and Sky pack). It’s very light, you have full control over how strong you want it (there is actually a volume control on the machine) and if you do use it, you don’t have to worry about your pets being bothered (as you can see from Cassie demonstrating how much it doesn’t bother her).

We loved the ability to move this from room to room. We have an indoor/outdoor enclosure that opens into a room for the cats and during the summer, they spend a LOT of time indoors. This eliminates that “catty odor” that you worry about. It’s perfect to use near litter boxes.

The unit received is lightweight, easy to use, and very effective. You’ll only need to clean one cartridge and one filter area (and we haven’t had to do it yet – even in the dust-laden areas of the Southwest).

The fan itself is a bit loud. It really won’t bother you if you’re in another room, and it won’t stress your animals out, it’s just that we’re pretty sensitive to sound and prone to long whines about noise like old fogeys. If you enjoy “white noise”, you’re going to love this (and quite honestly, when we put it in our bedroom, we slept a perfect sleep!)

We absolutely recommend The Febreze™ Air Purifier. The price is affordable, it’s very simple to move from room to room, and it’s a great way to keep your house feeling fresh!
