Winter is Coming – and so is Carolina Pet Pendleton

Winter is coming. That’s what they tell me anyway – it’s hard to predict when you live in the desert. Fortunately, we’re all prepared for the inevitable cold snap thanks to the Pendleton collection from Carolina Pet.

Carolina Pet’s Pendleton collection was inspired by the first National Park blanket patterns woven by Pendleton in 1916. That same year, the National Park Service was founded to support and protect our National Parks.

To coincide with the Centennial Celebration of the National Park Service in 2016, Carolina Pet transferred these beautiful patterns onto pet-friendly fleece and wool fabrics.

Each bed carries a woven label of the park it represents along with the “Warrantied to be a Pendleton” brand label.  Your purchase provides a donation to the National Park Foundation to support national park projects and help preserve and protect our beautiful parks system.

See for yourself how fun these patterns are!

Bree is wearing the Rocky Mountain collection – which includes a very large (but lightweight) bed, a fleece coat that is as soft as it looks, an Explorer collar and (not pictured) a matching leash.

Brock is wearing the Great Smoky Mountain collection that really shows off his dark coloring. Each collection features two types of collars, the regular and the Explorer. We chose the Explorer because we love the grosgrain ribbon with bridle leather backing and the antique brass hardware.

National Park pet beds retail from $99 to $169. Each one features plush 320 GSM non-pill polar fleece with quilted cotton canvas reverse and binding. The fill is made from 100% recycled polyester high loft fill made from recycled soda bottles – we love that this type of bed makes use of recycled soda bottles!

National Park Dog Coats retail from $49 a $69. The coats feature a plush 320 GSM non-pill polar fleece with quilted cotton canvas reverse and binding.

National Park Hiker Collars & Leashes, which are nylon webbing with a coordinating grosgrain ribbon retail for $29 & $39. The Explorer Collar & Leashes, which feature a bridle leather and coordinating grosgrain ribbon, retail for $49 & $69.

The Pendleton Pet Collection is available at Pendleton retail stores and outlets, and through their catalog and website. You can also find them at LLBEAN, ORVIS, Nordstroms, The Sundance Catalog and finer pet shops and boutiques.
