Pop-Up Pet Playland Designed for Pets by Inspiring Kid

I’m very excited to talk about a brand new product on the marketplace designed specifically for critters (such as hamsters, mice, gerbils, lizards and more). Best of all, this product was invented by an 8-year-old girl named Olivia Kessler, who I think we can all agree, has a very promising future ahead of her as an inventor and entrepreneur.

The PopUp Pet Playland operates on a simple premise: all pets need to play and making it simple for us makes it better for our favorite critters, like mice, gerbils, rats, hamsters and more.

The PopUp Pet Playland is a very large pop-up book that morphs into a playground for your kids’ pets. Olivia designed it after discovering that playing with her hamster in its small cage is harder than it looks.

Olivia wanted to have a safe, fun area that gave her hamster plenty of interaction, so she envisioned a “popup playland” and set about solving the problem. She wanted to make sure the playground was collapsible, provided easy cleanup, and could accommodate her pets easily. She also wanted to begin training her pets and set about including miniature hiding areas and plenty of ways to interact.

This was her creation (and we urge you to watch this video):

A failed kickstarter campaign did not faze her. Instead, she and her dad took the invention to Global Pet Expo (one of our favorite trade shows for the pet industry) and put it in front of some really big distributors. The father-daughter team ended up with two licensing offers and ultimately struck a deal with MultiPet, one of the largest manufacturers in the world. MultiPet is now the sole distributor of this great product!

Interested in purchasing for your family? Do it now – these are selling out quickly! If it’s not in stock when you place your order, place it anyway – they’ll send it your way as soon as they are available.

You can pick one up at Amazon or by visiting Drs. Foster & Smith.
