My dogs are the worst example of training in the world. I wish I could say it was their fault – that I spend hours each day committed to making them understand that a well-behaved dog is a wanted dog. But, I can’t say that. I’m impatient, easily bored, and lack the temperament that great trainers have in spades. That’s why I was grateful to meet to Alecia Evans from Walk-In Sync.
Since I can’t afford a personal trainer and don’t have a lot of time to spend working with my three dogs, I tend to rely on new technology and training devices. Some work, some don’t. I admit it’s not always the best way to train a dog, but we work with what we have and some of these inventions, like Alecia’s, really do work.
She’s created a very interesting tool to quickly train your pets to walk politely on leash. She even has a five-minute manners makeover, and five-minutes are about all I have these days…
Dogs can comfortably pull 2-3 times their body weight across moderate to long distances. So training can be difficult when you have three dogs. That’s why we started with just one – our worst puller – Brock. He’s been such a challenge that we felt you deserved a special video to see exactly what we were up against. I have to admit to a large level of skepticism when I first checked out this product. Besides my notoriously short attention span, I have to deal with my pets’ short attention span. Together, we’re very nearly dangerous.
Nevertheless, the Walk-In Sync system was simple enough to use that I didn’t even have to worry about short attention spans. Granted, it took a little extra time to quiet Brock down so I could even get the harness on him. But the harness is well-designed and simple to adjust, so it was easier than I thought it would be.

And I’m very pleased to report that it does work, and it works within minutes. We had Brock walking safely and comfortably on leash with no problems.
The Walk in Sync Harness is effective at because the pressure is placed against the chest. When pressure is applied to the center of the chest, the dog becomes aware that they are creating it. As you stand still and allow them to create the pressure they will back off.
It’s important to make sure the harness is correctly adjusted. If the harness is too strong and the pressure is applied to the size of the chest then the harness will be less effective at stopping your dog from pulling, so be sure to watch the video on how to make it work most effectively.
The harness is simple to adjust (even with a hyper dog) and once it’s fitted, you’ll never have to re-fit it. We made sure that Brock’s harness fit very snugly around his thick neck.
The Walk-in Sync harness makes my job as a pet parent incredibly easy. I’m still working on getting a video together to demonstrate its effectiveness, so as soon as I’m able, I will get that posted. In the meantime, you’ll have to take my word for Walk-In Sync’s effectiveness.
