Improving Air Quality with FebrezeAir #KeepItFresh

Share

Air quality is a big issue even if you don’t have pets. Millions of people live in regions where outdoor pollution cause health problems such as asthma, respiratory illness, and even heart disease. According to Lung.org, the six most widespread pollutants are ozone, particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide and lead.

Not only do these contaminants affect us, they affect our pets. And our pets pose even more of a problem to our air quality when we start thinking about dust, fur, saliva, dander and other particulates.

This is why air quality should be of utmost concern. It becomes even more important that you keep air clean and fresh and free from as many allergens as possible – for the sake of you and your pets.

This post is sponsored by Febreze™ Air Purifiers and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am being compensated for helping Febreze Air Purifiers but PetsWeekly only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. The Febreze™ Air Purifier is one way you can help you clear the air quickly and easily. The new HEPA-Type filter removes up to 99% of air pollutants in any small room.

Dust is a major concern for us here in the deserts of Arizona (where we have haboobs blowing in nearly every week). So having something on hand that can eliminate reduce household dust is very critical. If you don’t know what a haboob is, allow me to illustrate:

Obviously, it’s very important that we keep doors and windows closed at all times, which can make for a very stuffy, and occasionally not very fresh-smelling home.

So we are always happy to evaluate new products like the Air Purifier. One of the biggest benefits of this air purifier is the ability to make our home smell fresh (and being able to reduce the scent level when it’s not necessary), while simultaneously ridding our home of excess dust.

Each Febreze unit comes with a Linen & Sky scent cartridge that lasts up to 30 days. What I really like most about this scent is that it’s not invasive or “perfumy”. It smells very natural and doesn’t offend your pets. You can use it without the scent as well. We usually leave ours running without any cartridge at all.

There are three air-cleaning levels and a “freshness scent control dial” that allows you to increase or decrease the amount of scent. You can choose from linen & sky™ or spring & renewal™. If you decide you want your home to smell a little fresher, just dial it up!

The FebrezeAir purifier is available in different sized models – we selected the Tabletop to try out, but you can also pick them up in Mini Tower or just Tower sizes depending on the size of the room you need to purify.

The FebrezeAir is ENERGY STAR® qualified so you don’t have to worry about it being an energy hog. We didn’t see any difference in our electric bill when using this unit. Another great benefit is that it runs quietly, so you don’t have to listen to a noisy fan.

I spend most of my life in my home office, with my pets lounging beside me as I type away to meet deadlines. If I’m dealing with headaches or congestion, I’m not nearly as productive, so air quality is important to me. I think it should be important to everyone whether you have pets or not – and using air purifiers like the FebrezeAir is one way to achieve a reduced allergen home.
