Welcome Dr. Lori Coughlin, DVM

PetsWeekly is very proud to announce the arrival of Dr. Lori Coughlin who will be handling our “Feline Veterinary Viewpoint” section. Due to the increase in emails regarding your veterinary questions, Dr. Coughlin agreed to join us as our resident cat expert!

Dr. Lori is the owner and resident veterinarian of The Cat Practice, located in Oak Park, IL and boasts over 15 years of experience treating our felines. Dr. Lori graduated from Kansas State University in 1993 and had been an associate at Oak Knoll Animal Hospital in Moline, IL, from 1993-1995, and at The Cat Practice with Dr. Malin from 1995-1998. She was at Arlington Cat Clinic until purchasing The Cat Practice this past April. She is very excited to be back with her Cat Practice family and friends and is looking forward to getting to know her clients and hospital cats!

She has been married to her husband Mike since 1995, and they live nearby her practice with their 6 cats and a large aquarium of cichlids. They enjoy travel and fine dining. Dr. Lori is also a belly dancer and enjoys performing with her friends in the troupe Smoke.

We are proud to have Dr. Coughlin join the PetsWeekly staff of experts and look forward to a long and happy writing career!
