United Airlines has the following policies on pet-travel:

Pets are allowed as both carry-on and checked luggage.

Fees: $125 each way as carry-on, and $250 each way when traveling as checked baggage.

Notes:

- Passengers are required to make sure all health and pet travel documents are current and compliant with local, state, federal and international entry requirements and regulations.

- Dogs, cats, rabbits, and household birds are allowed as carry-on.

- Some other pets, including dogs of the pit bull breed, hamsters and guinea pigs, may travel as checked baggage only.

American Airlines has the following policies on pet-travel:

You can travel with up to 2 checked pets that are at least 8 weeks old. Please note that as capacity is limited, we accept checked pets on a first-come basis

When checking a pet, you’ll need to:

  • Check in at the ticket counter
  • Allow extra check-in time*
  • Complete a checklist with an agent
  • Provide a health certificate

Fees: $125 each way as carry-on, $175 each way as checked baggage.

US Airways has the following policies on pet-travel:

Pets are allowed as carry-on for travel throughout the continental US. Check their website for information on travel outside of the US.

Fees: $125 each way.

Notes:

- The in-cabin weight limit is 20 pounds including the kennel that must be able to fit under the seat.

- Only 3 pets can be on board at one time, so advance reservations are advised.

- 1 small domestic dog, cat or bird per passenger.

Alaska Air provides Fur-st Class™ Care for our four-legged friends. Their pet travel program offers options for transporting your pet safely. The following are their policies on pet-travel:

  • Pets are allowed as both carry-on and checked luggage.
  • Fees: $100 each way for both in-cabin and cargo travel.

Notes:

- Brachycephalic or "short-nosed" dogs and cats are not accepted for travel in the cargo compartment on Alaska Airlines flights (including flights operated by Horizon, SkyWest, or PenAir).

Delta Airways has the following policies on pet-travel:

Pets are allowed as both carry-on and checked luggage. Restrictions vary for UK and US-based animals, so please refer to their website.

Fees: $125 each way as carry-on, $200 each way as checked baggage.

Notes:

- No pets to Hawaii, Hong Kong, or the UK.

- A 10 day health certificate is required for International Flights. While there is no certificate required by Delta for domestic flights, upon arrival the state may require a certificate.

- Dogs, cats, and domestic birds are allowed as carry-on.

- Delta allows a large variety of animals to travel as checked baggage. Please see their website for the full list.
