One of the challenges we all face is transporting our pets without coming back in a vehicle covered in fur. The 4Knines Cargo Liner is perfect for protecting your truck from fur and claws and any other manner of doggy disasters. We tried one out on our Mitsubishi Montero and wish we’d had it years ago. Not only does it class up your SUV, it keeps your pets from scratching up the back bumper when they jump in. This is a very easy-to-use cover. Simply roll it out in the bed of your truck. The extra padding makes it a favorite with pets, and the non slip backing keeps it in place no matter how you drive! They also include reinforced adjustable headrest straps with clips to make the install super simple.

Use of the Cold Laser on Pets

We have become huge fans of the cold laser since purchasing our first one about eight years ago. We use it almost daily on ourselves (I am a longtime sufferer of TMJ and Carpal Tunnel) and we use it on our pets as needed.

Cheiss, our senior dog, is one of the more frequent recipients of treatment due to his ongoing problems with hip dysplasia. We also have a cat who regularly receives treatments as he suffers from a bit of arthritis. Two of our good friends use it on their horses for a variety of ailments.

Cold Laser Therapy (also known as Low Level Laser Therapy or LLLT) is a type of treatment that utilizes very specific light wavelengths to help accelerate the healing process in pets and people. There are a few things you need to know before you run out and buy one, though.

Using the ResQWalk App to Raise Funds for Animals

Looking for a new way to help your favorite animal rescue raise funds? The new ResQWalk app is fun, free and super easy to use!

Using this app is simple. Just log-in using Facebook or Twitter (or you can use your email address). You'll see a donation pool where you can choose the rescue group you want to support with your walks. There are thousands of rescues listed and you can either choose one you know or explore a few you don't know. You're also allowed to choose more than one. For our walk, we selected Crazy Cat Ladies unite and AZK9 to receive credit for our walk.

The donation pools vary. This week, it's $2,600 and every time someone uses the app to record their walk, your rescue receives part of that pool. Your phone's GPS tracks and maps your route on a very detailed map (which means, you have to actually do the walk). You can pause the app at any time if you decide to stop at a park or visit a friend, but you don't have to.

Keeping Your Pets Teeth Clean (Without the Hassle) #SmoochUrPooch

I try to be a good pet parent. I really do. There are a few things I don’t do on a regular basis, though, and one of those is brush my dogs teeth. Let’s face it - my dogs not only outweigh me, they also outnumber me three to one.  Their teeth are a lot bigger than mine. They are superior in almost every way. Sticking my hand in their mouth to brush their teeth is not super appealing. But dental care doesn’t have to be such a challenge. That’s why I rely on methods other than brushing- like water additives, gels and dental treats from TropiClean.
