Dogs love to chew, play and “mouth” their favorite toys. If you have a Labrador or Golden retriever, you know their greatest joy is derived from carrying special soft toys around in their mouth. They greet you at the door with the toy, they follow you around the yard with the slobbery mess.

If, like us, you have very destructive dogs who love to disembowel every plush toy they come across, you know how hard it is to find a toy that will hold up to their destruction. But you can’t turn away from those eyes begging for a soft, plush stuffed animal to munch on.

Well, we’ve got some good news. We found a few toys that will outlast the others by days (maybe even months)!

Remember, no toy is completely indestructible, but these will last much longer than others. Keep a close eye on your heavy chewers when you give them any type of toy. These toys are designed to be PLAY toys, NOT chew toys. While they are extremely durable, they are NOT indestructible!

QPG goDog

The goDog™ brand from Quaker Pet Group features toys for dogs of all breeds and sizes and each feature the tough Chew Guard Technology™. These are some of our favorites due to the extensive designs available, from zombies (for The Walking Dead fans) to dragons (for Game of Thrones fans).

Chew Guard is a manufacturing process that adds a tough, durable liner to every toy. The reinforced seams and specially engineered lining were made to withstand the toughest chewers - your dogs will love them!

The best part: Quaker Pet Group guarantees their toys - so if your dog does manage to destroy one, just send it back and they'll replace it!

PetSafe Slap Happy

No seams make the Slap Happy Pogo Plush line of faux sheepskin toys from PetSafe some of the best, most durable plush toys out there. Extendable arms make it easy to “shake and kill” while the internal rubber cage provides a unique “bounce-back” feeling that also keeps the squeaker rolling around (which makes it harder to destroy). There’s no stuffing to destroy because the cage provides the support. This is a fun, soft toy that your heavy chewers will love!

Kyjen Invincibles

The Invincible line of toys from Kyjen have some amazing squeaking power and even more staying power. This 65” snake (yes, that’s 5-feet long!) is the definition of non-stop squeaking fun. Each snake contains 12 puncture-resistant squeakers will make your dog (and sometimes yourself) go a little crazy. Even if the squeakers are punctured they will still keep squeaking.

Tuffie Toys

Thanks to 7 layers of material sewn together with FOUR rows of stitching, Tuffie Ultimate Dog Toys are some of the toughest toys on the market! They have dozens of sizes, shapes and themes - be sure you focus on the proper size for the dog!

Why are they so tough? Multiple rows of stitching, up to 7 layers of material are sewn together with 2 lines of stitching and 2 rows of CROSS stitching. They also have 3 layers of industrial grade luggage material, 3 layers of plastic coating and then they are sewn in a one inch cross pattern to prevent layer separation. Each squeaker is safe because they are sewn into a safety pocket under multiple layers of material. They're even Tiger-tested!
